Big Day
Okay, so yesterday was a bit of a big deal for me. Four years ago, on April 28, I got on a plane for the first time in my life. To travel across the country. By myself.
It was my first exploratory excursion and I enjoyed every freaking second of it. When I arrived in the Pacific Northwest of the US, I met up with some extended family. Then I took off on my own with Greyhound tickets and a single destination in mind.
At the time, I was twenty years old. And after an exciting year of publishing two books and finishing five others, I had earned myself an adventure.
April 28, 2012 was also the day I typed the last words of my Prideful Magick Collection. Though I had to get up super early to catch my flight, I powered through several long hours of droopy eyelids because I wanted the PMC to be finished before I left. It was.
After three years, I finally polished "Ivy" into an acceptable format and published her. Now, I'm working hard on editing "Oleander" (Book 2). And today, I'll be making another memory.
Today will be the day I finish Draft 2 on "Valerian" (Book 3). A full day ahead of schedule for my Camp NaNoWriMo ambitions. (50k words in 30 days. Why do I do this to myself?) Looks like today is going to be another big day.
