NaNoWriMo Complete
Well, I beat NaNo by the skin of my teeth. Managed to land 50,058 words of Death Wish in the wee hours of the morning of November 30. As per tradition, the whole next day I spent in a Sims4 coma. And the next day...
So, really, I thought I was on a mini-vacation. Play some sims. Get some reading done. Relax for the rest of December while Betas are still catching up on "Death Wish".
Then my sister called and said she was getting married. And it was going to cost $50/witness–of which there needed to be 2. Cue my mother and I heading to Canada for my sister's City Hall wedding. (They were both adorkably nervous. One gets quiet, the other gets loud. lol)
In the single day of notice we got prior to this (we knew there would be a wedding, but we weren't anticipating being able to go due to work conflicts) we also decided that I would be staying on to help paint the house.
So much for Sims and books.
I've been here 3 (is it 3?) days now (or nights?) and we've already got the walls done in 2 rooms. Meant to do another tonight but decided it could wait until morning since it doesn't need primer like the other two. (And OH MAN did they need primer. Orange and green, in non-subtle shades.)
Also, I'm in Canada so I have no service right now. Fun stuff. So literally all of my friends must communicate with me via Facebook. Which is fine, actually, but it won't exactly be a timely sort of thing. Mornings and evenings really. And every evening, I just really want to sleep, so I try to keep it brief. Which is why I am wrapping this up. Goodnight everyone!
